As the first of its kind institute in The Bahamas, the library serves as the venue where users can extend their learning beyond the classroom. It represents a well-rounded collection of materials in print, electronic, Internet based and audiovisual formats.
In addition to its print and audiovisual collections, the library also subscribes to several databases which are accessible to authorized users through the internet.
The library also has historical records and artifacts related to the Bahamas Maritime industry and collects documents from government agencies and other credible sources.
